Rematch!

In interleague play this week there is a rematch of last year's World Series, the Phillies vs. the Rays of course, down at Tropicana Field. Last night was the opening game of a three game series. The Phillies came to show why they are still the defending Champs of the baseball world. They came out in the 1st swinging like crazy. Utley had a 2 rbi double and Howard hit him home with a double of his own. So with the score 3-0 and runners at the corners rookie John Mayberry stepped up to the plate. He saw a pitch that he liked and on contact the whole park knew it was gone. That is all that the Phils needed and they went on to win the game handily 10-1. Jamie Moyer won his 5th game of the year without really having to be worried about many mistakes that he could possibly make to give up that gracious 6 run lead he got from his teammates in the 1st. The rest of the series will most likely be a lot closer than this game was and hopefully this won't be the last time that we see these two great young teams play eachother this year.
